We offer opportunities that cater to diverse abilities and interests. No prior experience is required, and both community and corporate groups are encouraged to join. Seasoned OMBA members will work alongside you to construct trails, foster community, and enjoy the outdoors. We introduce new volunteer opportunities throughout the year, so be sure to check back frequently or add your name to our volunteer email list for updates on available opportunities.

Trail Projects
Ginny Trail
Bobcat Ridge Natural Area
The Ginny trail at Bobcat Ridge in Fort Collins is a popular destination for mountain bikers, hikers, and runners. Due to heavy use and wildfires, erosion and drainage issues have arisen, making maintenance crucial. OMBA and FCNA are committed to preserving the trail with the community's support, shaping its future as a cherished regional resource.
Foothills Trail
Horsetooth Mountain Open Space
The next new trail in Horsetooth is ready for construction & we need your help! We’re partnering with Larimer County to give trails on the east of Horsetooth Reservoir some love! We'll work with them on specific segments of the Foothills Trail and the Ridgeline Trail for some standard maintenance activities: filling in tread, rock work, rebuilding drains, and clearing drains. Come out for a fun day working on trails close to home!
Hewlett Gultch
Poudre Canyon
Hewlett Gulch is the most popular multi-use trail in the Canyon Lakes Ranger District, appealing to a diverse group due to its beginner-friendly terrain and shade. It features a 2-mile lower section along the creek and a 4-mile upland loop. Many users, especially families with dogs, often turn back at the junction. The trail revitalization project, led by Overland Mountain Bike Association, aims to create a sustainable reroute in the northern segment, enhancing user experience and interaction with the gulch's ecosystem while improving sight lines and rest points.
