Ginny Trail Build & Restoration

About this project

The Ginny Trail at Bobcat Ridge is highly valued in Fort Collins, offering a challenging backcountry experience for mountain bikers, hikers, and runners. Natural wear, heavy use, and wildfires have caused erosion and drainage issues. Therefore, proactive maintenance is essential for the trail's sustainability, safety, and enjoyment. OMBA and FCNA aim to preserve the Ginny Trail's integrity, ensuring it remains a resilient and enjoyable resource with the help of Fort Collins’ dedicated community members. This goes beyond maintenance; it shapes the future of a beloved regional trail.

Overview:  Experienced trail builders and heavy machinery operators are needed to assess and replace aging skinnies, including those damaged in the 2024 Alexander Fire. As most structures reach the end of their lifespan, we’ll work to ensure stability and construct new features in collaboration with FCNA. Your expertise will help shape the future of these trails!
