Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day
@ the Northern Colorado MTB Fest!
Get your kids on the trails and celebrate the joy of riding bikes! Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day at the NoCo MTB Festival is all about fun, adventure, and confidence-building for riders ages 4–12. With age and skill-appropriate rides, interactive stations, and a big celebration at the finish, it’s a perfect way to introduce young riders to the sport. Best of all, it’s free to participate!
How it Works
This isn’t just another bike ride; it’s an adventure designed just for kids!
Sticker Card Challenge
Every child will start the day with a Sticker Card. At each stop along their ride, they’ll earn a new sticker for trying challenges, answering fun trivia, and showing their best effort. Fill the card and trade it in at the end for a free ice cream celebration!
Guided Rides for Every Rider
From Strider bikes to budding shredders, every kid has a group that matches their age and ability:
Tiny Strider riders will get their own course designed for fun and confidence
Younger beginners will cruise the East and West Valley trails on shorter loops
Bigger kids ready for more miles will explore valley loops and Huck a Yuka with their ride leaders
Every group heads out with cheers from the high-energy Cheer Squad to kick off the adventure
Interactive Trail Stations
Along the ride, kids stop at playful stations to try new skills, grab a snack, and earn stickers.
Balance Beam and Ninja Steps challenge coordination
Trail Trivia tests their bike smarts and teaches trail etiquette in a fun way
Finish Line Celebration
At the end, every rider gets a hero’s welcome. Volunteers line the trail, cheering, clapping, and high-fiving as kids roll through the finish chute to complete their adventure. With a full sticker card, each rider celebrates with free ice cream!
