Ginny Trail

Bobcat Ridge Natural Area

The Ginny trail at Bobcat Ridge in Fort Collins is a popular destination for mountain bikers, hikers, and runners. Due to heavy use and wildfires, erosion and drainage issues have arisen, making maintenance crucial. OMBA and FCNA are committed to preserving the trail with the community's support, shaping its future as a cherished regional resource.

Bay to Bay Dig Days

Horsetooth Mountain Open Space

Volunteers will help create a new trail connecting two trailheads and the campground, improving access and recreational options in the area. The work will involve removing rabbitbrush, laying down finely crushed material to improve the trail's surface, building a rock wall, clearing rocks, and completing a sandstone rock uplift. The project combines technical trail construction with ecological restoration, contributing to the sustainability and usability of this popular open space area.

Hewlett Gultch

Poudre Canyon

Hewlett Gulch is the most popular multi-use trail in the Canyon Lakes Ranger District, appealing to a diverse group due to its beginner-friendly terrain and shade. It features a 2-mile lower section along the creek and a 4-mile upland loop. Many users, especially families with dogs, often turn back at the junction. The trail revitalization project, led by Overland Mountain Bike Association, aims to create a sustainable reroute in the northern segment, enhancing user experience and interaction with the gulch's ecosystem while improving sight lines and rest points.
