Over the past couple of years, Overland has put substantial resources into improving Sawmill Trail and that investment has paid off in a much more usable trail. Well, we will be at it again this Saturday, June 8th, making further improvements to the trail and we need more volunteers. Please come out to help us with this great project.

We will be working with Larimer County to create an additional spur of the Sawmill trail in the valley that heads north and connects near the connection of Horsetooth Mountain Park and Lory State Park. In addition there may be some work on the Sawmill reroute that was completed last year.
We'll meet at the Soderberg Open Space trailhead parking lot at 8:30 am. Plan to work until 2pm or so. Lunch will be served at the completion of the day in the Soderberg parking lot. Please bring boots, gloves, snacks for when you are on the trail and plenty of water. Long pants and hats are highly encouraged.
The trail day at Curt Gowdy is running. If you were planning to work Sawmill, why not go to Gowdy and then ride after? This is from Paul up at Gowdy.
If you've never ridden the lollipop at Hewlett Gulch, your ankles, collarbones, and wrists will thank you. And thanks to the work of Overland, the US Forest Service, and Wildlands Restoration Volunteers, soon you won't have to worry about meeting your doom in the "asteroid belt" that makes up the final descent.

Hopefully, you've all been added to the email lists and will receive our weekly updates. If not, please contact us and let us know.
A big thanks to everyone at Drake Centre for taking good care of us. And to New Belgium for providing the refreshments.
