What is the Overland Mountain Bike Club Grant process? Each year the Overland Mountain Bike Club allocates a portion of our annual budget to projects that improve the bicycling environment on the Northern Front Range.
Who is eligible? Any government agency or non-profit organization may apply for a grant to improve biking on the Northern Front Range. The applicant need not be headquartered in Larimer County, Colorado, but the project for which the grant is sought must have direct applicability to the Northern Front Range biking community.
What kinds of projects/programs are eligible? There is no specific list, however, the proposed project must benefit the Northern Front Range biking community. In the past we have awarded funds for bicycle skills parks, trail construction, helmet programs, and various other bike advocacy projects.
How do I submit an application? Go to the Overland Mountain Bike Club website and download a grant application. The grant application may be easily reproduced on any word processor. Please use 12-point font, an easy-to-read typestyle, and single-spacing. Be sure to address each point listed in the grant application. If awarded a grant, what is required? Funded projects must be initiated during the same calendar year in which the grant is approved but need not be completed in the same calendar year. Where applicable, include a schedule for project completion in your application. Within 60 days of completion of the project a final report must be submitted to the Overland Mountain Bike Club.
