TIPS Training
This training is mandatory for the Fort Collins Tour de Fat on September 5th if you are volunteering for ID/token sales and/or beer pouring. This training is good for 3 years. The purpose of the TIPS training is to learn how to check ID's and be able to pick out fake ones as well as how to manage someone who is intoxicated. This training is key to the success of Tour de Fat in Fort Collins.
TIPS will be offered two more times before Tour de Fat. Please mark your calendar and attend ONE of these sessions:
- Thursday, August 27th at 6:30pm at New Belgium Brewery [register]
- Monday, August 31st at 7:00pm at New Belgium Brewery [register]
Other info
- Lead positions are for people who have volunteered at Tour de Fat in the past and feel comfortable answering questions from new volunteers. There is a meeting for all leads at New Belgium on Monday August 31st at 6:00 pm to review specifics about the Tour de Fat for this year.
- All volunteers will receive 2 beer tokens as well as a TDF t-shirt.
- To be eligible for your t-shirt and beer tokens, you must be able to work the entire shift that you sign up for AND show up on time
- The TDF is very busy, it is not appropriate to expect to baby sit your child during your shift. Children are allowed at the event, but please have someone else to look after them while you are working.
